M. BRONSON
Stuart M. Bronson
has been selected to receive this year's Arthur B. Poole
Award. The award goes to a town resident who has shown
a commitment to public service, as exemplified by the
late Arthur Poole.
Bronson has been active in town affairs since moving
to Harwinton in 1953. He's been married to his wife,
Martha, since 1944. They have two sons, six grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren. Bronson has been active
in the Harwinton West Side Volunteer Fire Department,
the Harwinton Housing Authority, the Harwinton Sundowners,
the Bronc Callahan Community Fund, the Harwinton Historical
Society and the town commission on aging.
He's also a Mason, member of and volunteer at Trinity
Episcopal Church in Torrington, Navy veteran of World
War II, former master of the Winchester Grange and director
of the Riverton Fair.
