(Hill Road School)

This school stood on the west side of Hill Road just a short distance south of Hayden Hill Road.

In Ray Bentley's "History of Harwinton", he wrote that "The Center School, which had been rebuilt by William McConway in exchange for the Center Academy, and the Northwest School were the only ones to have furnace heat". Hmmmmmmmmmmm, the wonders of modern conveniences.
