The eighth grade class trip to New York City’s Metro Museum was a big treat.

Picnic at Luksco’s falls and pool or Burr pond.

Graduation was a big event in the Congregational Church – decorated with Laurel – State flower.

I was the shortest student of our class, but it didn’t seem to bother me.

Children came from Scoville Hill Road and Clearview Avenue to our school so being a two-room schoolhouse, we always had many students.

I walked one and a half miles to school & lived on East Litchfield Road .
