One of the teachers (Not Higgeston)
would have visits often by a friend. When they occurred,
we enjoyed an extra recess for the duration of the visit.
Needless to say, we couldn’t wait for the next visit.
One morning after Halloween,
my father’s buggy was perched on the roof of the
schoolhouse.
Mr. Mills was a welcome visitor.
He would stand in front of the classroom and quiz us
n various subjects. He was always generous with his
compliments.
